If you are an experienced Property Surveyor, or a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer - or a less experienced Surveyor looking to develop and expand your skills further - we may have the perfect opportunity for you at Wealden District Council.

Your key responsibilities will include maintenance of our office headquarters, and monitoring our Leisure Centre contracts, along with general surveying duties.

You would also have involvement in a number of new projects such as the development of a new crematorium site, two parks and a number of commercial ventures - all situated in one of the most beautiful and rural districts in England, largely covered by the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the South Downs National Park.

You will require current experience of commercial electrical and mechanical systems and a good working knowledge of energy management systems.

And we need you to be flexible and willing to adapt to a range of new challenges and possess well developed communication skills. Ideally you’ll also have an HNC in Building/Building Management/Building Services or equivalent

As a flexible employer, we are happy to consider some home working where possible and this post may be available as a job share if you are looking for part-time hours.

We offer an excellent package, including competitive salary, career average salary pension scheme, an employee benefit scheme offering a range of discounts and salary sacrifice schemes, flexitime and discounted leisure centre membership.
