We work in an established partnership with Newcastle Borough Council to deliver the very best modern and flexible building regulation service to everyone in North Staffordshire and nationally beyond our boundaries on behalf of our partner clients.

The role of Building Surveyor is considered essential to delivering the ambitious and complex development programme occurring in our area together with more straight forward home owner led works.

On appointment you will have the chance to play your part in the establishment of new industry and growth, the reclamation of North Staffordshire’s built heritage and the restoration of our environment to an area that is healthy, safe and accessible. 

You must be able to efficiently and effectively undertake the assessment of applications for Building Regulation consent together with associated building inspections.

We are looking for an adaptable, self-motivated and ambitious individual with corporate professional membership of CABE/RICS or equivalent and proven project management skills for our senior position. We will consider a person with an appropriate construction degree and/or associate membership with experience in building control for an assistant/building surveyor position.

Your starting salary would be commensurate to your qualifications and experience on a point within our Building Surveyor Career Grade.

There would be an offer of development opportunities.

Other duties include working with clients on key projects, preparing reports, site inspections, initiating enforcement action, dangerous structures including out of hours rota and ensuring we deliver our responsibilities relative to safety at sports grounds.
