NHBC has a unique opportunity available for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team, home based in the Midlands area. The role is a permanent and full-time position offering a salary of £41,500 - £46,000 per annum.

There is certainly plenty of variety: you’ll be giving expert technical advice and carrying out assessments, as well as reviewing foundation and substructure designs on sites with complex geotechnical issues.

On top of that, you will assist builders, provide site support, undertake forensic investigations, identify defects, liaise with customers, deliver consultancy services and much more.

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer role is home based and due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.

Our ideal Senior Geotechnical Engineer

As a Chartered Professional (MICE, MIStructE, CGeol, Chartered Geologist), you should bring substantial construction industry experience and a knowledge of the housing and commercial sectors.

An in-depth understanding of geotechnical assessment and substructure and foundation design is essential, together with first-rate communication and presentation skills.
